1077.0. "Stack my icons on top of each other, not beside? " by VMSNET::M_HYDE (From the laboratory of Dr. Jekyll) Fri Jul 07 1989 16:28

I can't get my icon box to behave the way I want it to. I prefer to
have the icon box long and narrow on the right hand side of the screen
with the icons neatly stacked on top of each other.

I'm currently running the IFT V2.0 kit and believe that the behavior
has gotten worse since the SSB VMS V5.1 release. The icons keep
putting themselves off the screen to the right and creating a horizontal
scroll bar on the bottom of the window. Before the IFT V2.0 kit,
pressing the "Mr. Tidy" button would at least stack everything back
up nicely, but now it doesn't even seem to do that.

Is there a way, supported or not, to force the icon box act the way
	I want?

	Thanks,
	mark

RE: .2

That won't do anything usefull. If anything, in V2 of DECwindows,
it breaks the icon box customize options... Just re-sizing the
box and saving the current settings will keep the box the same
size.. Stacking order and such, well, that's a different animal
	all together..
