Yes - if you give "help" as the topic, you just get the subtopics of
"help help" available. If you don't supply a parameter, or specify "",
it looks for the "about" frame, which doesn't exist.
Any ideas?

| When you don't specify a topic, FileView opens the help file and uses
the first topic it finds as the "initial topic" parameter to the
routine that creates the Help widget. Once the Help widget comes up,
you can get the full list of available topics by selecting TITLE... from
the SEARCH menu. When the Search dialog comes up, hit APPLY without
entering a title - it will find all the topics for you. Then you can
navigate to any topic in the list by double clicking on it.
The reason FileView doesn't just give you the list of all topics
automatically is that there was no way to get the standard Help Widget
to do that. If you provided a null topic, it simply complained. The
workaround was to get SOME topic by opening the library directly
(normally the Help widget performs all the library operations).
I've just been told, however, that the Help widget has been enhanced to
provide the list of topics if a NULL initial topic is specified. If
this is the case, FileView should be changed to use this feature if no
topic is specified in your VUE$HELP.COM invocation. (I can't commit to
that, since I'm no longer on the project.)
