    Is there any way to replace an entry in a popup or pulldown menu ?

    This probably comes down to being able to insert a new entry into
    a menu at an arbitrary point [ rather than simply at the bottom ].
    Is there a means of doing this ?

    Alternatively, is there a method of re-ordering the entries in a
    menu after you've added the new one to the bottom ?

    Any assistance would be more than welcome !
