1008.0. "SET HOST messes up screen color..HELP!" by CAADC::PMWVESTUTO () Fri Jun 23 1989 11:36
HELP!
I have a WS2000/GPX, with 14MB of memory.
When I SET HOST in a DECTERM window, funky things happen to my color
(VR160) on my tube. It seems to happen only with SET HOST. It seems
to happen when I do it also from file view (DCL command), but I
haven't tested that thoroughly. The colors seem to do a "reverse
video" - my blue/red patterned background turns white/red, and the
window background is a lime/bright green (from a soft gray/blue).
Is something not set up correctly?? I am new to windows, and I haven't
done much tweeking if any.
Thanks for any input...these green colors really hurt my eyes!

It sounds like you're on a 4-plane GPX, and the LOGIN.COM or SYLOGIN.COM
on the remote system displays some ReGIS (or sixel) commands. You can
restore the default colormap by clearing and resetting your DECterm
window from the Commands menu.
