I have a program that systematically blows away my window manager.
Before QARing it, I'd like to narrow things down a bit. Is there any
way of getting a process dump of the window manager? There's a logical
name that defines whether the server has the feature enabled or not,
but I haven't been able to find anything similar for the window
manager.
Thanks,
John

I have a feeling this is a bug that may have been
fixed.
In DECwindows V1 window manager process is not getting
created with the dump flag. Unfortunately (in V1) the best
thing to do is run it from your workstation via DCL
$SPAWN RUN SYS$SYSTEM:DECW$WINMGR
When the accvio occurs the standard stack dump and program
counter will get displayed to you. If I know the program
counter I can tell if its fixed - or I can fix this one.
The other thing is that if you know how to reproduce
it, then qar it.
