986.0. "dxterm: how to change icon name?" by KEATON::TSOI () Tue Jun 20 1989 15:14

I am trying to find out if there is a way to change the icon name
when one is invoking dxterm so that the default of DECterm will
not show up. For example, in xterm, one can do:
xterm -n junk, and the icon name will be junk.
Is there something similar in dxterm? I can't seem to find
    the switch in the manuals.

    Thanks in advance.

There is no way that I know of to set the name upon activation/creation.

There is program in the DW_EXAMPLES conference called SET_TITLE that will
set the text in the title bar and/or the icon.

It's cute but a little slow and it works.

Thanks for responses. .2 is what I am looking for.
BTW, how can I find the rest of the variables that I can change
    besides icon name?

986.4dxterm(1) description lists dxterm-specific resourcesHANNAH::MESSENGERBob MessengerWed Jun 21 1989 20:308
Look in the UWS References Pages under dxterm(1X), pages 1-104 to 1-107.
That lists just the dxterm-specific resources. (I was going to give you
a reference to where the standard resources are documented, but I can't
find them. Too bad there's no master index for the UWS manuals.) The -xrm
switch to dxterm is given on 1-97 of the UWS Reference Pages.
