Hello,
According to the DECwindows Applications Documentation it should be possible
to draw either a vertical or 45degree line using the shift key and the
draw line option.
I have tried every variation of this that I could think of could someone please
tell me where I'm going wrong?

Note, I also posted this one in the EPIC notes file since someone a while
