Hi, This sounds like a petty question, but does anyone know what toggles whether or not the "Decwindows banner" is displayed after a satellite is booted and decwindows started up. It seems as though some of our customers have to do a "shift or crtl F2" to get the display going and some don't. I think they use this display as a sign that their satellite is up. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Shari.

May need to get more info... The CTRL-F2 is the operator window switch. Usually the startup process 'logs off' upon system boot complete. When this happens the server will then see that it now has access and control of the screen. Based on your note I am not sure why the operator window was not being toggled off automagically. I have never seen this happen in any of our LAVC's at the customer site. Hmmm... -=> Jim <=- |
