891.0. "Clicking the mouse aborts the session" by UTRTSC::OOSTERHOF (May I quote that ?) Wed Jun 07 1989 07:10

    Hello there,

The following occurs on a 3100 and also on a 3300:

In the session window I click the 'print' option and choose the
'portion of screen'. I hold the left button and click the middle.

This does not work, so I release the left button. A window (sometimes)
appears with the message: 'unknow error 0' / 'acknowledge'.

So I acknowledge. Everything works fine until so far. I'm able to
select a portion of the screen and I get some options.

Now I completely cancel the print request and, again sometimes,
th session is completely aborted and I get logged off.

Below is a footprint of DECW$SM.LOG. I was able to translate
the message number, but that doesn't tell me anything new.

I was able to reproduce the problem, but the values in PC
and the virtual address are always different.

Does anybody know about this problem ? I understand that the
things I do with the mouse are not the way the mouse should
be handled, but apparantly the software is not able to cope
    with this situation.

    Any comments appreciated,

    			Willem.

The V5.1 session manager could abort with an access violation on
the second and subsequent attempts to use the printscreen function.
This has been fixed in V5.2.
