The UIGEN utility is a BIG help in creating UIL code.
It eliminates all of the busy work that is involved,
especially if your code is internationalizable. Hit
KP7 to add the UIGEN notesfile to your notebook.

Without going thru the UIGEN conference...does UIGEN produce UIL code yet
or does it just do UID ?? I had heard earlier that UID was all that it
produced. Is this correct?

It is not. Can't believe everything you hear apparently.
Not only does UIGEN crete UIL it also creates skeleton C code to drive
it. I found it VERY helpful in getting started. The UIL and C I have now
bear little resemblance to the original as created by UIGEN (through nat-
ural code evolution), but having UIGEN to set the foundation was a very
BIG help.

None. UIGEN is a midnight project for getting an application's DECwindows UI
started up quickly. DWICS is a series of supported products for developing and
maintaining DECwindows interfaces via WYSIWYG editors, etc.
The key words above are "midnight/startup" and "supported/maintaining".
UIGEN, however, is the only one available now.

There is a note on this (and using the two together) in the UIGen notes
conference.
