Also sent to DECwindows conference.

I have run into a problem with running DECwrite on a VS2000 without the GPX
option. The problem manifests itself as duplicate lines of text when editing.
One line will reappear at random throughout the page replacing valid text
which should be there. Editing such a document becomes a frustrating task since
it is not possible to "see" the correct text.

The document will print fine and, if I use a VSII/GPX it will display fine. The
problem does not always occur although I have a .DOC file which consistantly
gives the problem. It is in VAOU02::DISK$USER1:[FBROWN]DOC_BUG.DOC and was
created with the "overhead portrait" style. The second page will show one line
duplicated several times on the page (replacing the correct text which should
be there).

I don't know whether the problem lies with DECwrite, DECwindows or VMS or a
combination of two or more of the products but am posting it here for any input.

If you think it's a bug, be sure to submit a QAR.

869.2QAR for DECwrite or SPR for DECwindowsVAOU02::FBROWNFred D. BrownFri Jun 02 1989 17:577
The problem is that I don't know whether the problem lies with DECwindows or
DECwrite. I have posted the note in the EPIC conference but as yet have had
no replies. If I don't get one by next week, I will submit an SPR on
DECwindows.
