uVAX II running SDC VMS 5.1 connected to a NCD "windowing terminal" that supports DECnet. I can get the window manager and clients (DECW$CLOCK, VUE$MASTER...) to run, but I don't know the trick for the Session Manager or, more importantly, DECterm. What needs to be done after DECW$STARTUP has run on the uVAX II to start a session or just a DECterm. Jolley

I had already read the notes about "REMOTE" and "STARTLOGIN" and they didn't have the answer. The solution was to run "startlogin" from the system account. We were trying it from a special DECWINDOW account with "SET PROC/PRIV=ALL". I finally talked the customer into letting me have the system account. Jolley |
