| I don't think it can be customized to come up in TREE format.
I position the windows with the following in NOTES$DEFAULTS.DAT
Notes*MAIN_SHELL.x: 3
Notes*MAIN_SHELL.y: 471
Notes*CONF_SHELL.x: 369
Notes*CONF_SHELL.y: 471
Notes*READ_SHELL.x: 3

859.4 | Thanks, but no such info is available on 5.2. | WOODRO::EARLY | Bob Early CSS/NSG Dtn 264-6252 | Wed Nov 22 1989 08:34 | 12 |

Thanks, HOWEVER, under VMS 5.2 , typing HELP NOTES (as you've
graciously indicated) does not yield even remotely similiar results.
Basically, VMS HElp does not support NOTES.
However, i did locate a notes release_notes file, which contains
similar information.

Baloney. If VAX NOTES has been installed properly on the system, then
DCL help will give exactly what .3 showed you. If it doesn't, it means
something on your system isn't installed correctly.

| I assume that your system manager upgraded to an intermediate version
of VMS recently that wiped out the old VMSHELP libraries.
