833.0. "DECgraph V1.5 and DECwindows (VMS 5.1)" by 24785::ONEILL () Wed May 24 1989 10:15
I am running VMS V5.1 and DECwindows on VAXstation II/GPX. Have
a number of DECcalc/DECgraph spreadsheets/graphs that need to
be migrated from timeshare cluster to the workstation. Recently
installed DECgraph V1.5 on GPX. When I issue $GRAPH, the DECgraph
main menu is painted. When I choose a DECgraph icon/function,the
process enters a LEF state and never proceeds. A $SHOW TERM on the
process "says" the window is VT300_series, REGIS terminal.
Does DECgraph not work with DECwindows? If not, why not
(informational)? If not, is a conversion effort necessary?
Thanks.

Why not look into the DECdecision stuff?
For questions about DECterm, try the DECterm conference.. There should
be a pointer at the beginning of this conference...

DECterm does support ReGIS, although there VT330/VT340 compatibility problems.
I can't tell from your description why $GRAPH isn't working.
The DECTERM conference is at HANNAH::DECW$DISK:[PUBLIC]DECTERM (KP7 to
select).

| re .0:
I have exactly your configuration and everything works fine. The only
difference is that I've only called DECgraph from DECalc. The only
problem I have then is that the graphics text is not properly sized.
I also change my DECterm setup to give a VT240 id to stop DECalc from
giving "unsupported terminal type, assuming VT102" message.
