Can an application running in a DECterm window be notified if the window has been resized? This is not an X or DECwindows product. If so I would need the window ID and the corresponding AST event. A customer is worried that if a user who is running their application in a DECterm window that gets resized, will not look right. Thanks in advance.

Re: .0 No, there's no way for the application to know that the window has resized, so the application's documentation should tell the user not to resize the emulated terminal (i.e. the number of rows and columns) after the application has started. This is why Auto Resize Terminal is off by default: if the user resizes the window it won't change the size as seen by the application, but will merely clip the output to the window size. -- Bob |
