Hello, I could not find anything vaguely resembling the following problem in the directory listing so here goes. I log in to a work station and do the following commands, $ SET TERMINAL/WIDTH=80 $ SET TERMINAL/WIDTH=132 and I notice that the 'scroll bar' on the right hand side is out by 1 line. The reason why I am writing this note is that I am testing a terminal emulator which when you invoke help can switch between 132 columns and 80 columns but when you revert to the application must always be 80 columns. Thus we find that we are a line out when the screen reverts to the application which looks very untidy. The user then has to use the mouse to get the screen to display properly, that is include the last line in the display. This is very inconvenient. The switching is handled by escape sequences CSI?3h and CSI?3l. The terminal emulation program works OK for Vt300 and Vt200 terminals. Hope this helps..... Thanks in advance.... John PS. Incidentally we played around using the CSI132$| and that seemed to give an infinite number of columns. PPS. The position of the cursor before issuing the SET TERM/WID=132 command seems to be important. PPPS. I don't know much about DECwindows or Workstations.

Some advice: if you care whether it gets fixed, QAR it. (Connect to node Trifid, log in as user QAR_INTERNAL, password QAR)

Re: .0 It's a known bug that's fixed in the post-V1 code stream -- which doesn't help you very much right now. There are various more or less unattractive workarounds: (a) live with it, (b) disable Record Lines Off Top in Customize Window, (c) disable Auto Resize Window in Customize Winfow, (d) select either "Normal (80 columns)" or "Condensed (132 columns)" in Customize Window. -- Bob
