The DECwindows MAIL conference seems to have either moved or gone belly-up. Does anyone know which and where? (Usually, when a conference moves or dies, someone leaves a read-only stub with a single topic, explaining what happened and/or giving a forwarding address: NOTES says that this file isn't there). -- Mikey

It's still where it's been for a long time. Perhaps your problem is that you're spelling it wrong. It's KOALA::DW-MAIL with a hyphen, not an underscore. Steve

As Steve says, it hasn't moved for a few months (it was on BCSE a while back), if you're getting file not found, either you misspelled it or you're using the old address. This morning the network alias and the 8800 in the cluster don't seem to be listening to the outside world, but until that's cleared up you can use CHEERS::DW-MAIL. Mike

I had it mispelled. Sorry. I could have sworn that I had opened it before, using that notebook entry. -- Mikey |
