    	I am interested in finding out about DECWINDOWs performance
    over communications media other than ethernet.I have only seen
    DECWINDOWS over ethernet but many customers ask about performance
    over 9600 and 19200 baud lines,64 kbit megastream lines etc,etc.
    The only response that I can come up with is that it is not 
    particuarly recommended and that compression techniques should be
    used.
    	Any information relating to the speed of response that people
    have experienced,or non 10Mbit/sec environments that are being 
    used satisfactorily would be much appreciated.
