| Re: .0
By "buffer size" do you mean the number of lines recorded off the top? There
is no way to change this in DECterm V1; the maximum is always 100 lines.the
session manager parameter has nothing to do with DECterm.

616.2 | Is there another WAY?? | LIL01::GOURDIN | | Wed Apr 19 1989 15:01 | 18 |
| Indeed I mean the number of lines recorded off the top.
Is there no way to change this in DECWINDOWS with another parameter
in another window (i.e. in a FILEVIEW TASK OUTPUT)??.
If there is no way in DECWINDOWS, is it possible to scroll any file
(i.e. one of 100 lines and another of 1000 lines) with a SCROLL
WINDOW widget ??. Is it a dynamic resize of the number of lines recorded
off the top beetween a 100 lines file and a 2000 lines file??.
It's for a french customer who wants to visualize a file which is
the result of a "SYSTEM EXPERT".
The end of the project is fixed to the May, 3rd.
Thanks for your help.

| Sounds like you want to put together an application that reads
the file in question and displays it in an SText widget. You could
then use the scroll bars in the SText widget to move around the file.
Of course, it would be even flashier to do more with the data but you
have a small time window to do this.

| Use the notepad utility provided with DECwindows. It does exactly
what you are asking for.
