| The arrows are for fine scrolling, coarse scrolling is achieved through
the bars themselves.

| Thanks...
Through much playing with it today I've found out by accident that clicking on
the very bottom line of the bar (and boy do you have to be accurate with the
pointer!) I can page down.

| Christine, clicking anywhere in the "unfilled" area of the scroll bar
should enable you to page in that direction. You do not need to click
on the line.

610.5 | VAXnotes specific problem | 25517::SCHOELLER | Who's on first? | Tue Apr 18 1989 13:00 | 12 |
| The DECwindows interface for VAXnotes does not fetch everything across the net
at once for directory listings. This means that the scrollbar appearance does
not accurately reflect the position and fraction of the total listing as you
see in other applications. Because of that you frequently have what appears
to be a scrollbar pushed all the way to the bottom when you can really take
it further. Thus the problem in .0 and the workaround in .2.
In order to read more of the discussion on this topic and other VAXnotes
specific problems refer to CLT::VAXNOTES_V20_IFT.

610.6 | Select All command | DAS::D_SMITH | | Tue Apr 18 1989 15:29 | 4 |
| The easiest workaround in notes is to issue the Select All command
which forces everything to be fetched and for the scrollbar to be
accurate.

610.7 | Another work around for Notes... | R2ME2::HARROW | POSIX what? | Wed Apr 19 1989 08:46 | 5 |
| You can also hide the problem by using the Tree Mode display (select Display
Tree from the View pulldow menu).

610.8 | But watchout for large notes conferences.... | IO::MCCARTNEY | James T. McCartney III - DTN 381-2244 ZK02-2/N24 | Sun Apr 23 1989 18:05 | 4 |
| Large conferences can be very slow using the tree, since it has to fetch
everything first. Also, I've ocassionally had Notes ACCVIO and die when
looking at a really large conference like VAXNOTES...
