528.3 | it may be your login.com | CADSE::MCCARTHY | My windows are fogged up | Tue Apr 04 1989 13:39 | 3 |
| Rename your login.com then try to login again. It may be that it is waiting
for some user input (like an INQUIRE) that will never get what it wants.

528.4 | Sysgen parameters | MJBVAX::BLIZZARD | | Tue Apr 04 1989 13:59 | 7 |
| I suspect it is some of your sysgen paramters. DECdecision has some extra heavy
requirements. They are identified in the DECdecision installation notes.
I've seen this before, and the primary cause was gblpages.

| Make sure that SYS$SYSTEM:MODPARAMS.DAT does not have a line such as
GBLPAGES = some-number
This will keep AUTOGEN FEEDBACK from raising the value when needed.

528.6 | | AKO455::SHEPRO | NOW what'd I do? | Tue Apr 04 1989 17:35 | 8 |
| In your decw$login.com, make sure the spplication starts as a spawned or
detached process such as $SPAWN/NOWAIT/INPUT=NL: RUN SYS$SYSTEM:DECW$CLOCK
Also, although I stand to be corrected, I remember reading that each window that
comesup needs 300 unused GBLPAGES. After installing the software, do you, in
fact have mega-free_gblpages leftover?
