I just had a weird situation on my standalone uVAX II. I logged in and the 'Digital' logo and login menu did not disappear. They occluded all other menus that popped up. When I quit my session, I got the message Message number 02DB821C on my console. I am running VMS T5.2-41M.

You've got decw$startup being invoked twice during your system startup. The release notes for the 5.2 installation mention that decw$startup is now invoked automatically during system startup, and that you should remove any invocation of it from systartup_v5.com | |||||

I've seen this on my VS2000 4-plane GPX. It seems to be caused by the "color" map being full. I had to restart DECwindows to get okay again. But then again I'm running the HPWM so I can hardly complain anyhow. |
