| Why don't you update to the VMS version for PVAX that went to SDC.
V5.1-B? It is located at VMSKIT::PVAX$PUBLIC:[SDC], then you can use
the SDC kit for DECwindows (DECW051).

467.2 | VMS051.% versus VMSU1051.% | THAM01::TRIN | | Thu Mar 23 1989 22:33 | 9 |
| I am in the same situation as .0 but have already downloaded VMS051.%
and DECW051.% from VMSKIT::SYS$KITS:[VMS051].
Re: .1
Do I really need VMSU1051.% savesets for my PVAX? They look much
bigger than VMS051.%. Is there any difference between these two
distribution kits?

| Use the VMSU1051 savesets, not the VMS051 ones. The VMSU1051 is a remastered
VMS051 for PVAX.

VMS051 is VMS V5.1
VMSU1051 is VMS V5.1-1. This is a release to support new processors
and make bug fixes...

| Re: .5
No, VMSU1051 is NOT V5.1-1! It is V5.1B, which is the complete VMS kit
for VS3100 systems. You can install it from scratch, or possibly (I am
not sure), upgrade an existing V5.0-n system.
VMS051 is V5.1, which is an upgrade to V5.0 (or V5.0-n). It contains only
the changes since V5.0.
VMSU2051 is V5.1-1, an update to V5.1.
Go figure!
