I am having problems openinging a window on a PMAX from a PVAX.  The 
Pmax is running U3.0A UWS2.0 Rev7, the pvax is running V5.1-TB0.  I get the
following error:

XIO: non-translatable vms error code: 0x2DBA002, vms message:
%decw-e-cnxabort, connection aborted
%XLIB-F-IOERROR, xlib io error


any ideas?? 

The other problem I am having is with a demo which draws a map into a pixmap
and then does copey areas to the work window.  The demo works fine on the VMS 
PVax but on the PMax the map does not show up.  any ideas???

I am under a crunch to get this demo out tomorrow for big trade show.

	How about some details? In the first case, how far did the application get? If nowhere, is the client authorized on the pmax server? Second case: Does the window appear? Did you xflush when the drawing was finished? Are you running remote or local? etc., etc.

Same result running local or remote. Again this problem is only when built and run on Pmax. runs ok on VMS. No I didnt do a flush

	If it gives up in XtInitialize, I'd still suspect authorization first. Add an XFlush call after you've finished all your copy area requests and see if anything happens.

	Since your PVAX is running V5.1-TB0, do you happen to be running the DECwindows FT kit that came with it? That may be something. Upgrade your PVAX to the sdc kit of VMS and DECwindows (V5.1-B and DECW051) Jeff
