339.1 | ASTLM? | DECWIN::KLEIN | | Tue Mar 07 1989 16:18 | 8 |
| Check your ASTLM. It should be at least 100. (Mine is 324 for some
obscure reason.) If not that, make sure your other quotas are up.
ENQLM at least 128, DIRIO 100, BUFIO 100. If it still happens,
let us know and we'll keep looking. I've seen this once before
and it was quotas.

| Here are the account quotas where I execute the $ SET DISPLAY/execute
fileview:
Process Quotas:
Account name:
CPU limit: Infinite Direct I/O limit: 100
Buffered I/O byte count quota: 40960 Buffered I/O limit: 100
Timer queue entry quota: 50 Open file quota: 80
Paging file quota: 17547 Subprocess quota: 6
Default page fault cluster: 64 AST quota: 98
Enqueue quota: 1000 Shared file limit: 0
Max detached processes: 0 Max active jobs: 0
I looked through the DECwindows installation guide (Chapter 2 of
the 'VMS Version V5.1 Installation Guide'), and didn't see any process
quotas discussed. I'll set ASTLM up to 324, and see what happens.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Where are these resources limitation errors documented?
Thanks!

339.3 | Still a problem . . . | SHARE::LEMONS | And we thank you for your support. | Wed Mar 08 1989 10:11 | 15 |
| I raised the ASTLM to 324 on the remote end, but the error still
occurred. So I followed the instructions in note 197.* and did
the following:
$ show log /table=decw$server0_table decw$server_retry_write_*
(DECW$SERVER0_TABLE)
"DECW$SERVER_RETRY_WRITE_MAX" = "3000000"
The error still occurs. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
