Hi, I'm running DECwindows and DECwrite ia a local area VAXcluster with local disks for paging and swapping. The DECwrite application creates temporary files (journal files) which I also want to store locally. All other user data, however should be stored on the boot-node. The question is now: Is there a logical, I can define in order to direct temporary files onto a certain device and directory? Thanking for help! Regards! Evi

Try defining SYS$SCRATCH to point to the alternate location. If that doesn't work, ask in the DECwrite conference, QUEEN::EPIC. Steve | |||||

DECwrite journals are explicitly created in the default directory. If that doesn't work, they're created in the document's directory. If that doesn't work, we punt. John |
