267.0. "NOTEPAD access violation (saving to bad pathname)" by AITG::DERAMO (Daniel V. {AITG,ZFC}:: D'Eramo) Wed Feb 22 1989 00:06
In the NOTEPAD out of the box (OOTB) application, I chose
the "Save As ..." choice from the "File" menu and gave it a
bogus file specification (the device part wasn't a logical
and wasn't a device). (I was curious.) There was a fatal
access violation, so I immediately tried again and got the
same result.
Since this results in a loss of the notepad's contents, you
may want to be especially careful when typing in pathnames
there.
I haven't tried this on the other OOTB's.

267.1 | Already QAR'ed | KOBAL::GOOD | Michael Good | Wed Feb 22 1989 10:36 | 4 |
| I QAR'ed this a few months ago. I haven't checked the QAR system
lately to see what the status is. As far as I know, Notepad is
the only OOTB with this problem.
