237.0. "Color images manipulation?" by PRSUD2::SIMON (Ppre mon chien est le plus beau) Fri Feb 17 1989 09:43
Hello,
A customer wants to display color pixel images in a DECwindows
window and manipulate them (i.e rotate, magnify, cut... them)
I guess that :
First, he has to convert them into a DDIF format.
He can do that through the "print portion of screen" function, no?
But he has 1000 images, he can't do that that way. Is there a
converter bundled with DECwindows, which converts pixel into DDIF.
What about the color?
Then, he wants to manipulate the images. PAINT doesn't allow you
to work with color images. You have to use a tool such as RAGS.
Will RAGS be bundled with DECWINDOWS in a future release? Or will
PAINT be modified handle colors?
Do you have any idea to solve this problem?
Regards,
Sylvie
