Cant, start any applications, utilities ... from FileView
--------------------------------------------------------
My configuration: VAXstation2000 with RD54,14MB RAM,4 Plane,
VMS 5.1 with DECwindows 5.1
(KIT copied from Valbonne VISA::SYS$KITS...)
My problem : When I'm trying to start something from my
FileView menu I get the following messages
in the Task Output window:
%DCL-W-MAXPARM, too many parameters - reenter command with fewer parameters
\_MBA141\
%DCL-W-IVQUAL, unrecognized qualifier - check validity, spelling, and
placement
\WRITE\
%DCL-W-UNDFIL, file has not been opened by DCL - check logical name
%DCL-W-UNDSYM, undefined symbol - check validity and spelling
\VUE$COMMAND\
%DCL-W-UNDFIL, file has not been opened by DCL - check logical name
%DCL-W-UNDFIL, file has not been opened by DCL - check logical name
%DCL-W-UNDSYM, undefined symbol - check validity and spelling
\VUE$COMMAND\
.
.
.
... and again, and again until I stop this process !
P.S --> - I installed the whole DECwindow Kit two times without any
success (Same result !)
- The same kit works just fine on other Stations
What am I doing wrong !
Thanks in advance for any help

| It looks like you have a symbol definition for one of the DCL commands
the FileView subprocess uses. Specifically, it looks like "OPEN" is
defined to be something else... Check your LOGIN.COM and SYLOGIN.COM.
