203.0. "PVAX Miscellaneous Questions" by WLW::ZIGLER (Tom Zigler, DTN 432-7541) Tue Feb 14 1989 19:11

Please answer the following miscellaneous PVAX questions:

    1) Can two printers/plotters requiring RS232C be connected to each of
the two DECconnect 423 serial ports utilizing DEC423-to-RS232 adapters
on a single PVAX running VAX/VM

    2) What is the CERTIFICATION timetable for each of the following
layered products for the PVAX running VAX/VMS?:

    	a) VAX FORTRAN
    	b) VAX C
    	c) VAX PASCAL
    	d) VAX BASIC
    	e) VAX Distributed File Service
	f) VAX Distributed Name Service

Is there a group within Digital that is responsible for CERTIFICATION
issues? If so, who do I contact?

    3) Can the PVAX running VAX/VMS be licensed for more than one user?
If not, are there any plans for multiple user licenses for a single
    VAX/VMS PVAX?

    		\Thanks in Advance

What any of these questions have to do with DECwindows is a mystery to
me...

You want to contact the SQM organization for responses to your "certification"
questions, assuming you mean you want to know when those products have been
tested on the VS3100. One name I have in that group is Sylvia (SQM::)
Tremblay - she can at least point you in the right direction.

Your other questions can be directed to TURRIS::MICROVAX, though the question
on licensing has already been discussed.

203.2SQM is the best place to ask certification questions...KOBAL::NETHNo flaming, please. Flames melt the snow.Wed Feb 15 1989 09:198
The VAX BASIC development group has certified VAX BASIC V3.3 on the PVAX,
and notified SQM - presumably that means its just a matter of time before
  it is officially certified...
