| My personal opinion is, the VR100 was never SHIPPED with the VSII, so therefore
the default behavior should be that for the VR260, like it currently is. A
"feature" has been provided to make the hybrid system work.

This is true. However, my hybrid station is the result of a piece
by piece upgrade from a VSI. In the near future I see no way to
exchange the monitor.

Yes, TTY_DIALTYPE = 64 was the clou. Now I have nice windows on
my VR100. Thanks a lot.
By the way, could you or someone else please publish a list of all
TTY_DIALTYPE bits used by DECwindows and their meaning here?
I know several for VWS, but none (besides 64) for DECwindows.
