Everyone wants clipboard everywhere the WorkStation is. I think. What is the current plan for this ? Does any ISV developping it ? Seeing our competitors status, we cannot despise them. In case of a text only document, can't it done immediatly ? In case of compaund document... I think this fuctionality should be available by window manager, not by each application. What do you think ? Any comments are welcome.

Concerning only text, DECwindows V1.0 itself has that functionality. For example, you can cut & paste between DECterms, or calculator. Concerning compound document, we soon have DECwrite (formerly called EPIC/writer). With this product, we can do 'live link' to charts and images interactivly. For non-multi-byte-character people, DIGITAL has it now ! But for us, I hope DIGITAL will have it soon :-) (I don't know the current development status of Japanese DECwrite... But Japanese DECwindows will be shipped on this May). Morita | |||||
