Hello World

I have DEC_windows FT 2.0 installed on VMS 5.0-1D.
How can I make an update to FT 2.1?

Taken from the VMS Version 5.1 Installation Guide I understand that 
the prerequisite for an update is a complete and unmodified version of 
VMS 5.0-2.

How can I get from VMS 5.0-1D to VMS 5.0-2 ? The guide doesn't tell 
me. Don't tell me to reinstall VMS 5.0 + mandatory update + 5.0-1 and 
5.0-2 updates from the very beginning before I can install VMS 5.1.

If there happen to exist any savesets to easily update from VMS 5.0-1D to 
VMS 5.0-2, don't hesitate to point out from where I can copy them.

    The most straight forward way we have upgrade to FT2.1 and VMS 5.1
    is :
    
    	DECWDELETE
    	DECWBL11
    	VMS 5.0-2D1 
    	VMS 5.1
    	DECWFT051
    
    There is a short cut so you don't have to apply DECWBL11 and it
    involves copying the file RMS.EXE from a system already running
    VMS V5.1 to your system.  If this is done, you can skip over the
    installation of DECWBL11.

    a "show conference" at the "notes>" prompt reveals that kit information
    is in note 5.3.

    The kit information in 5.3 is for the location of the VMS 5.1 kit,
    not the kit which takes you from 5.0-1D TO 5.0-2D so you can upgrade
    to 5.1 without starting from square one.
    
    If this kit has been deleted, could it be put back for a short while?

    Thanks - but I need VMSU2_DW0_050.A.  It seems to be nonexistent.
     The KITINSTAL.COM from VMSU2050.A threatens to destroy everything
    if DECwindows is present and makes no attempt to process a .B save
    set.

I've put a copy of the VMSU2_DW1_050.* kits in MPGS::Sys$Kits:<DECW.FT2>
