I'm using SDC version under 5.1, and I have the following behavior:
I had saved session manager settings for window foreground color, background
color, highlight color, border color under 5.0. Under 5.1, I get the old
saved colors, but if I pull down the customize menu for windows in the
session manager, my current settings don't appear (for example, it shows
window background as white, foreground as black). And, if I change them in
that dialog box, the changes don't seem to take effect -- new windows still
get the old foreground, background... etc. colors.
Can anyone explain to me what happened between 5.0 and 5.1?

Try selecting "Use System Defaults", save, then set your
new colors. That worked for me.

| As I had the same problem, I tired your system and many other to change
the window background color, but still no effect.
Anyone have the good solution ?

I've seen a similar problem on one of my systems. Apparently there was some
change in a resource name that was placed in DECW$SM_COLOR.DAT. Try renaming
the current DECW$SM_COLOR.DAT in SYS$LOGIN to some other name, saving the
current settings of the session manager, and then try bringing up a new
window. That worked for me. Also, do you have any other resource files
with color specifications in them?
