75.0. "DECwindows Bookreader question" by LDP::GABRIEL (CMP/ISV DECwindows Tech Support) Tue Jan 31 1989 10:28

    I couldn't find a BOOKREADER notesfiles, so I'll post the question
    here. If it's not appropriate here, please point me to the right
    conference.

    Does/Will the bookreader support searching by a keyword ?? The
    keyword should ideally be specified by the user.

    Thanks again.....

A related question...

A 3rd Party company has asked me how to write books for use by the
DECwindows BookReader.

Do we publish/distribute the BookReader data file format?

Is there (or will there be) a product that outputs BookReader datafiles?

Thanks,
Bruce

There is no keyword support in the current version, but it is being looked into
for a future version.

The current books are produced using VAX Document with a special Device
Converter. These tools will hopefully become part of the VAX Document Product.

Send your product requirements to Marian VMSDEV::WEISENFELD and/or
Linda DSSDEV::STORM.
