72.0. "turning off the wait cursor between processes" by CADSE::MAY () Tue Jan 31 1989 08:53
In our user interface, one application allows the user to run a
second application in a separate process; each process has its own unique
main window and associated subwidgets. Because this is a prototype
for an environment that is in the earliest stages of development,
we're using LIB$SPAWN to start the second DECwindows process, which
is our quick and dirty method to get the job done. However, we
need to display a wait cursor while the second main window is being
cranked up and our problem is: how can we tell when the second
main window is about to be mapped, so that we can get rid of the
wait cursor in the first process?
Thanks for any suggestions -
