| Some simple suggestions based on local experience...
1. See note 26, have you stopped and started DECnet on 'client'?
2. Are 'chile' and 'client' both running the same version of
DECwindows. I can only get this 'set display' lark to work
between nodes running the same versions.
3. Now for the obvious one... 'chile' is running DECwindows isn't
it? No insult intended but a customer I know did try this!
Good luck.
Mike.

No I've not stopped decnet.

Installed from the same savesets.
The only difference being that on the client (a Hyperion) I did
not install the workstation device support software. The client
and server (chile) are not part of a cluster.

| This may not be the problem, but I get the XToolkit fatal error
consistently if I try to run from a subprocess. eg: I have three
main windows. In one of them I SET HOST 0 and log into SYSTEM. I
can run anything in the two main windows but will get a fatal error
from the xtoolkit from my SYSTEM window every time.

35.4 | CLOCK WORKS
CLOCK WORKS
| ASD::NAMBURI | | Tue Oct 30 1990 14:34 | 12 |
| I NOticed this while working with decwindows.
Shouldn't this feature change for the better:
Time had to be modified on my workstation due to change
in the day light savings time. I set the time using the DCL
command. Clock did not reflect the change immediately. It has to
be stopped and restarted again. I feel it should work the other
way i.e,"It should reflect the change immediately".
