No, You aren't the only one. We have had the same problem now
for more than a month, and haven't been able to access some
of the critical competitive information. To make sure it wasn't
a local problem I had a colleague in the UK try it out as well.
I have provided feedback through the feedback option several
times, but haven't heard a single word from back from them.

51.2 | I'll bet 100s of hours are being wasted! | KHUFU::EVENSON | Don Evenson @MWO DTN 446-2470 | Thu Feb 27 1997 18:58 | 6 |
| And here I thought it was my PC or our local network setup.
I have had the exact same problem trying to get the Competitive
Landscape presentation. Kept trying for days and finally used VTX IR to
get an older version. Then I just plain gave up on some other things
because they weren't in the IR.

51.3 | It happens in MRO too ... | MROA::EARLY | WW SBU Product Marketing DTN 297-4709 | Sun Mar 02 1997 23:30 | 14 |
| I work in the MRO complex and reported the same problem about 2-3 weeks
ago. It happens both at my desk in MRO and from home using RAS ... some
kind of "server time out" error.
The people who run the web server are very concerned about it, and have
had to resort to an escalation process to try to get this fixed. I'm
glad you wrote because I'll give your feedback to our WebGurus in the
morning as additional ammunition that there IS a problem and it IS
creating issues for the field.
Thanks for writing!

51.4 | Download Problem Should Be Fixed Now | MROA::EARLY | WW SBU Product Marketing DTN 297-4709 | Mon Mar 03 1997 09:44 | 17 |
| RE: This string ... Here is an update on the SBU Server download
problem you reported:
It has been determined that there is a software bug in the release of
Netscape we were using on the SBU Server. We have rolled the server
back to a previous release of the server software. This seems to have
solved the problem. So, as of Thursday morning, (February 27th) you
should not see this problem again.
Please send me mail immediately if you continue to have problems
downloading files ([email protected]) so I can reinvolve those
responsible for bringing this to closure.
