1049.0. "JOB SHARE 10-20 HOURS WEEK!" by WMOIS::DWYER_L () Fri Sep 27 1991 10:20
Here is a great opportunity for a programmer/software developer type
who is looking either to cut down to 10 hours a week or is on maternity
leave and would like to come back to work for 10 hours a week.
I am a software developer in the software reference information systems
group, IM supporting the software supply business (SSB), working for Hugh
Mcginness, in Westminster, MA. Over the last 6 months I got the rare
opportunity to start my own business, something I didn't quite plan on.
Business is great and I would like to cut down to 30 hours per week
and eventually (1 year approx) to 20 hours per week. My manager is
open to job sharing with someone as long as they are qualified for the
job. So, here's what we do for work. We develop software to track
the software supply business. Hugh is an excellent boss, the group
is great and the work is very interesting. We use only leading edge
technology, rdb, client/server, c coding, decforms, etc. We design
applications using the phase review process. We are working on
implementing 6 sigma standards, data management standards, etc. We are one
of the only groups who have been hiring over the last year (went from
5 to 19 people). So if anyone out there who is interested or knows of
someone out on maternity leave who is interested who might fit
in, please have them get in touch with me. Its not very often there
is an opportunity for someone to work 10 hours a week! Write me
at wmois::dwyer_l (lauren) or call dtn 241-3120 outside (508-874-3120).
