'carried' me through my ordeal (see note 754!)!!!!
Can I have directions? I have to check the kids football schedules,

I work at the Mill and I don't want to hang around till 6:30 and there
is not enough time to go home and come back. OR if there are any

| For anyone who is confused, *yes* this is still going on, *yes* we are
still meeting at May Ling tonight at 6:30, and *yes* you should let me
know you are coming so I can make reasonably accurate reservations.
I'll post directions later. Or, better yet, does anyone know where
directions are that were posted previously? I'm sure someone has
already written these up and I hate duplicating efforts.

Directions (thanks to Justine Sullivan!)
(I know there's a set of directions with a character-cell graphic
in it but I couldn't find it in my cursory glance - can anyone else?)

Directions to May Ling:
1. From Route 495, take Route 2 East to Route 27.
2. At the end of the Route 27 ramp, turn right, heading towards Maynard.
3. You'll cross Route 111, and you'll travel through Acton and eventually
come to Maynard. Follow 27 to a large intersection with a Police station
on the right and a gas station and a MacDonald's across the intersection.
4. Turn left at the intersection, and go to the next traffic light
(landmarks: photo studio, gas station, auto upholstery,
also, corner of Route 62 and 27).
(Route 62 turns left and Route 27 turns right at this point).
5. Go forward through the intersection, and proceed up the hill.
6. May Ling is on the right (white building, green trim).
Parking is just beyond the restaurant or across the street.

| The dinner Monday was lots of fun.
I loved meeting David and Ivy. They seemed a bit awed by the crowd but
did quite well :^) Ivy wondered how we get anything done, we spend
so much time hugging!
Both have a lovely sense of humor. I wish they lived closer, both
would be nice additions to the GMA =wn= community. But on the other
hand, Australia sounds like a nice place to live, despite the prices.

| G'Day,
This is my first note since returning to Oz. I had 5.5k unseen notes
in =wn= alone so I'm going to be busy and will unfortunately have to
make pretty heavy use of the next-unseen key.
We had a great time at the dinner and again with Joyce and Dan on
Tuesday night. Sorry that we could not chat with everybody but time
was limited and I could have easily talked with some of you all night.
Actually meeting all these people that have previously only been
nodename::usernames' is really quite incredible. The other side of the
world actually exists!
Thanks to the organisers and all who attended. I can't see us
making it back to the states for some time so hopefully we'll see some
of you down here.
Beter get back to the reading. Can't stay up too late tonight as I
return to work tomorrow.
