A member of this community sent this to me from the FEMAIL mailing list.
Apparently, a local (Boston area) radio station is having a contest for
a weekend get away, but no same-sex couples allowed.
Remember: no calls charged to DEC/DEC time.

The radio station WODS (103.3) is holding a contest whose prize is a visit
to the Jamaican resort Sandals. The prize is to be awarded to a couple,
not necessarily married, but same-gender couples are excluded.
If you'd like to take a moment to call and protest this policy, the
station's number is (617) 426-2200. Some of us who've called have spoken
to staff members who were unaware of the exclusion. However, if you ask to
speak to Tommy Edward, their program manager, or Bennett Zeir, their
general manager, they'll confirm that the exclusion exists. Their
explanation is that it's the resort's policy, not their own idea.
Thanks,
Gary Drescher

The first Saturday of every month, the local right-to-life folks
demonstrate at the monument at the top of Library Hill in Nashua.
(These are the *exact* same folks who just protested the Nashua
School Board's program of AIDS education for 7th graders. I leave
you to draw your own conclusions.)
Saturday, June 2nd is the first Saturday, and I'd dearly love to
drive by and see some sort of counter-demonstration, or to be
invited to participate in a counter-demonstration. (I don't
believe I'm well-enough connected to set anything up by myself.)
