| Yep, she begged for money to get her hair colored so nobody could
recognize her when she begged. Now Billy Idol has just filed a million
dollar law suit against her for scandalizing his name. So she is
planing to go to Cambridge again tonight to beg for more money so
she can pay for her own lawyer. :-)

| G'day,
Then there was the gold miner that went to heaven, but St Peter
wouldn't let him in 'cos there were already too many gold miners. So
the miner asked if he could come in if there were less miners. St P
eter said that would be OK. So the miner went round saying that there
was a rich gold seam in Hell - so all teh gold miners asked ST Peter
for permission to go below and off they went. Eventually St Peter told
the miner he could come in now, as there was room.
The miner declined, saying that, though he had started the rumour, he
would prefer to go below, since ' there _might_ be _some_ truth in
it.....

I think the most scandalous thing to say about Kath was that after she
got the money she went into the Middle East and sat through a show
where one of the bands was in drag, and then later the audience made a
huge pit, the biggest pit I've seen in a small club since Pussy Galore
played last summer..............
But then I'd be implicating myself, because I saw it too, and took
pictures of the whole spectacle, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing
to boot.

It's rumoured, though, that Lisa Gassaway stood on stage the entire
show snapping pictures of the band and the pit (that basically could
have passed for an orgy when that one girl was in there).
That pit was scary, Lisa.....you couldn't have caught me DEAD in there
(well, maybe...) I saw some people staggering out looking like they
were about to keel over.
Excellent show.....thankfully I had an escort out to my car afterwards,
though...Having been hit on 4 times in the span of 20 minutes outside
on the streets of Cambridge was not my idea of fun.

launching an investigation as to why NEA is using our hard earn tax
money to fund such, as the right honorable Jesse Helms puts it, trash.
The citizens for limited taxation is in an uproar. Barbara Anderson
is threathening to dump a million tea bags into the Boston Harbor
again. On the other hand, the artist community is solidly behind Kathy
and Lisa. "We have just nominated the exhibit for the esteemed

Hahaha...sorry Liesl....I guess I should relate the story here. I'll
copy over my note from Radio_Radio following this one.
First, some "definitions"...
A "Pit" is where people slam dance, it's usually right in front of the
stage (hence the name "pit" as if it were for an orchestra). To the
casual observer, it looks like a very violent sort of sadistic ritual.
In fact, most people don't get hurt in pits, as long as they keep their
feet up and their arms out to protect them (although, I wasn't going to
venture into this Pit, it was quite nasty looking).
Billy Idol's hair is about like Madonna's color, except with maybe a
little more gold in it....(hers is totally white, isn't it?) Anyway,
my hair is a VERY VERY light blonde right now....you might even call it
white............
Okay, just so everyone knows what happened, I'll post my story after
this.

<...some irrelevant stuff deleted...>
Okay, so I hunted this topic down to enter my experience from Sunday
night. Sunday night was The Cows/Green Magnet School/Chle show at the
Middle East.
There's just SOMETHING about me and that corner in Cambridge that don't
get along. Two weeks ago, on the way to Maria X at TT's, I got some
rather "interesting" comments from a passerby....you know, the kind
that a woman enjoys, yet hates, all at the same time... Anyway, AFTER
the Maria X show, I was walking out with Scott (Paul was in front of us
a little ways), in the midst of telling him about the comment I got,
and ANOTHER passerby made some equally "interesting" comments.
Okay, by this time I'm getting a complex...do I look like a slut or
something? (Shut up, guys...)
Anyway, this Sunday afternoon I call Paul to go into the show with him.
Guess what, HE isn't home...in fact, HE thought the show was in the
afternoon, so he took off without me! (Grrrrr......payback's a bitch!
;-) ) So, even though I despise venturing into certain clubs by
myself, I took the risk. (I kept telling myself, "Okay, Kath...be a
big girl. Nothing will happen this time!")
I get there, head toward the bank machine...guess what...NO bank card.
Okay, check the wallet. $2 in there (just enough to get home on the
Mass Pike). No problem, I'll just WAIT OUTSIDE, I'm early, and I knew
at least Lisa was going to be at the show, and maybe Paul would show
up. Maybe they can save me....
20 minutes later, I'm in a fit because I've just gotten my FOURTH
comment from a passerby (what is the DEAL with this corner?). One guy
even stopped and tried to convince me to go home with him!!!!!! (I had
on grungy clothes and no makeup too! What's the deal?!) "Excuse me,
could you please make me feel a little more uncomfortable than I
already am?" Ish.
Okay, so it's 9pm on a Sunday night, I'm having FITS! (Scott and Paul
both know how I get when I'm alone like that in an insecure place....
needless to say, I was near to freaking out).
Finally, I was about to walk back to my car and go home when a woman I
know from another conference walked by on her way to another club.
<...Enter D! to the scene of the crime....> She saved me (and I will
love her to death for the rest of my life for it!) She gave me $10
(and, of course, told everyone I was begging on street corners for
money!)
So, I walk into the Middle East and guess what?! No one was at the door
collecting money right then so I got to just walk right in!
Fitting justice after all that, I think.....
Kath_spineless_jellyfish (I suppose). ;-(

No, nothing shaved into my head. Sitting in Randy's chair right after

could do to get him to give me a semi-standard trim.
And it is *not* true that I've been wearing any of Amy's undergarments.

Dear friends and colleagues,
In equal measure, fond reminiscence and wonderful expectations of the
future crowd my mind today, my last with Digital. I'd like to send
along my thanks to you for helping these years pass so pleasurably
and for enriching my career and, indeed, my life.
Over the coming year, I'll be concentrating on the completion of my
undergraduate work at Rivier College. At the same time, I'll be
applying to law school with hopes of admission to a fulltime,
three-year program in September, 1992. My goal is a second career
in public interest law, with a focus on child and elder advocacy.
Wishing you all life's best.
