    This ties into to the topic on "does unwanted sex = rape" but I was
    afraid it would get buried in the replies there.  It is a request for
    people who have had unwanted sex with a man in their lives to
    participate in a study.  
    
    A member of the community requested I post this on their behalf.

    This entry was requested by a woman who works at Spitbrook Road. She 
    has been using a Nurse Practitioner/Midwife, Trudy Cox, for the past
    three  years who is absolutely wonderful. Easy to talk to, available,
    trustworthy, and competent. Trudy practices out of Cambridge, and is in
    the process of  getting her Master's degree in Nursing at Northeastern
    University. She is looking for women to participate in her research
    study, and we thought this notes file would be a great way to reach
    women who have had the kind of experience Trudy is looking at.

    Below is the letter that Trudy is giving to her patients, and she asked

       SEEKING WOMEN FOR INTERVIEWS FOR RESEARCH PROJECT:

    I am a nurse-midwife in the community (Cambridge) and am pursing a
    Master's Degree in Nursing at Northeastern University. As part of my
    experience I am conducting a research project in which I hope to learn
    about the views of women who have experienced forced intercourse,
    especially with men with whom they live.  My intent is to find women
    who are willing to discuss this experience with me.

    If you have been forced to have sexual intercourse by a male partner
    with whom you are/were living and would consider participating in an
    interview about the experience, please call me at the Nurse
    Practitioner Associates  office so I can give you more details about
    the study, answer any questions  you might have, and help you decide
    whether to participate in this study.
