| Party reminder, and a few details:
Happy hour with Carla starts at 5:00 Friday (tomorrow) at the Rusty
Scupper and goes till whenever.
We'll meet upstairs in the lounge in one of the corners. The
Rusty Scupper is expecting us and will save some tables for us (though
we will lose them if somebody's not there by 5:30). No worry there!
If in doubt which group is the right one, ask someone at the Scupper where
the Blazek/Digital party is.
Drinks and appetizers will have a 15% gratuity added on to the price.
Directions follow the form feed. If anyone wants to improve them, feel free!
See you tomorrow!
Kathy
The Rusty Scupper is located in the Nagog Woods Shopping center
on Route 2A/119 in Acton. The Nagog Woods Shopping center is
directly across the road from a good-sized body of water. There's a
stop light at the entrance to the shopping center, and the Scupper is
in a separate building located to the right of the main body of shops.
From 495 North or South: Take the 119 south (or east, perhaps) exit
off 495. Follow 119 though Littleton. Once you get out of Littleton,
Nagog Woods and the Rusty Scupper are on the left (at the stop light).
Coming from the east on Route 2: At the Concord rotary, get on Route 2A/119.
There's a light at the intersection of Routes 2A/119 and 27; continue
on Route 2A/119. The shopping center and the Rusty Scupper are on the
right at the next stop light.
Coming from the west on Route 2: From Route 2, take 495 north; then take
the Route 119 south (or east, perhaps) exit off 495. Follow 119
though Littleton. Once you get out of Littleton, Nagog Woods
and the Rusty Scupper are on the left (at the stop light).
From Maynard: Take Route 27 North to Route 119/2A. Turn left
onto 119/2A, heading west. The Rusty Scupper is on the right at the
stop light.

Kathy Maxham - *Many* thanks for inspiring and inviting me. Catie
Curtis was a marvel. Additional thanks for having me singled out
at the concert (AHEM!). It was nice meeting Joanne, too.
Justine Sullivan - Finally, finally, finally. Squeeze! You're even
better than I'd imagined.
Dale Hall - I look forward to seeing you perform next time, with or
without the dual violas.
Jody Bobbitt - A proposal, a massage, poetry, untied strings, and I
even sat at your feet. Wow. Spirits soar, sister.
Diana Carroll - What can I say? The wine, the women, the soothing
sounds. Discarded clothes, dancing, marathon conversations (yeah,
that's the ticket), tooling around MA at all hours, shaved heads at
Campus ("I'm sorry, I just had to touch you" -- it worked for me,
maybe you ought to try it), thanks so much for everything.
Christine Quiriy - How fantastic it was to hear your name right as I
arrived. Hope you weren't offended by what I said you looked like.
I swear it is the highest compliment known to me. You're beautiful.
Dan D'Eramo - The sole familiar face initially. You literally saved
me from escaping back down the staircase. Thanks for the rescue!
Dorian Kottler - And here I'd expected a six foot Amazon warrior. I
am so pleased that you set aside everything so I could finally meet
you after all this time. What an energizing experience.
Sharon Walker - Great haircut! Wish we could have discussed dynamics
of potato addiction a bit more. Maybe at the =wn= party in June?
Jim Mackin - I heard a rumor you were there. Is this true?
Ann Broomhead - It seemed too loud when we met, but that didn't
diminish the thrill.
Kathy Gallup - After all these years I didn't know you enjoyed being
slapped like that. What a wench! I'm glad you came.
Amy Goldman - You radiate! That haircut is stunning. I'm sorry you
couldn't join us at Campus Sunday night, it was truly scandalous.
Next time, Amy Goldwoman, we'll kidnap you.
Sheri Smaller - Thanks for offering me a place to stay, even though I
ended up not needing it. Again, it was so great to finally meet you.
Kelly Ireland - Thanks for Harvard Square, Maine, the book I left in
your turbo car, and your effort. See you in February.
Lorna St Hilaire - I had to do *something* to touch those tiny hands!
Next time, let's hideout in a bathroom and talk, OK?
E Grace Noonan - Bulging belly or no, you give amazing hugs and you're
invigorating to watch. What a nibblesome neck you have. Macho Hug
Slut, indeed.
Jay Pitard - You made me use my brain at a time I was barely able to
breathe, but I'll forgive you anyway. Thanks for the approach.
Kim (?) - You were the first person to introduce herself to me and I'm
sorry I don't remember your last name.
Sandy Ciccolini - It was excellent Chardonnay. I'm sorry you left
before I emerged from my initial shocked haze. Next time you won't
get away so easily.
Laura Ervin - Ms. Roots & Wings, we barely talked. I hope to sometime
in the future.
Dan Kalikow - Business? I only travel for pleasure! Thanks for being
there.
Ray Davis - KKK took my baby away, hey ho let's go! You're on for the
Laphroaig and Ferron tapes. (Yo, Liesl, you never said he was *this*
attractive!)
Linda Belliveau - We didn't talk much but it's comforting to be able to
put a face to the name. It was also good to see you at Catie's show.
Erik De Briae - "Funky and sexy", eh? I think I'll keep you around, my
friend. After months of missing each other, at last. Zing!
Allison Parent - Don't forget your summer swimsuit promise!
Jacqui Gardner - Thanks for coming and for bringing along Hugh. It was
wonderful to meet you, you're someone I've admired tremendously for a
long, long time.
Kristy Gleason - What hugs, what a smile! A true joy to finally meet
you. I could've hugged you for hours. Oh wait, I did, didn't I?
Nancy Bittle - They were right!
Mary Maling - A sincere pleasure, I have admired your notes and your
perspective and you were just as cool in person.
Ken Mattsson - You are too cute to exist. And talented too, or so
I hear. A deep pleasure to meet you.
Huge, encompassing, sincere thanks to *everyone*!
If there's anyone I've forgotten, a thousand apologies. I'm honored to
be part of this community. Next time, Bonnie Randall and JJ Morrissey,
I hope to meet you too!

Not really. The claim of censorship was branded on MEN in this

hair cut which he decided was awful. He shaved his head and got a severe sunburn.
At the time he also had a Fu-manchu type mustash and the combination made him

Well, as for the trip to Africa, so I don't have to *worry* about my

In general, I want to shave my head because I find shaven heads

and inevitably leave them somewhere, and 2) they tend to get blown off in the
wind.
Actually if I shave my head I will definitely have to get a hat. So hard
to find ones I like, though!

their heads? It was interesting.

| I think it was on the living page. Or actually, it could have been
in the Sunday Globe. I honestly can't remember.
Anyone else see the article?

I have the perfect hat for you! It's a "Buffalo Bills, 1990 AFC
Champs" cap. Currently trendy and it makes a statement!

You have *got* to be kidding.
Not on your *life*.
----
I was given a hat by the L&T Sig at DECUS that looked very good on me (I
think.) Unfortunately, the hat was meant as a souvenir, not as a hat, and
so it is cheap and has already fallen apart. I'd like to find a similar
style, but in a real hat. It was white with a band around it, sort of
orindary hat like...I would think it would be easy to find but I haven't
found one yet.

I actually once found the perfect hat - but in the wrong size. :-( That's
the story of my life.

That's good. I was having trouble picturing Joseph Conrad
in a hat. I'm just hopelessly out of date...

| Cool adn stylish hats can be found in the men's and women's departments
of Burberry's (Burbury's? sheesh - now's a great time to brainfutz out
on spelling huh?) at the corner of Newbury Street and mumble right near
the public garden in Boston. They're a bit pricey but it's upper-crust
quality stuff.....
And walking down Newbury street is so cool anyway, it's where you can
walk past more eclectic people per square foot than anywhere other than
NY city and parts of CA....
