Just as there is need to understand what is sexual abuse is is apparent that there is also need to understand what ISN'T sexual abuse. I urge people who are 1)concerned about false charges 2)concerned about inappropriate guilt 3)concerned about whatever other implications of incorrect understanding of What Isn't Sexual Abuse to use this topic to pursue those matters

this past weekend, in the space of about 10 minutes, my 8-yr-old daughter did the following: 1) allowed me to enter the bathroom, after I knocked, to get something, while she was naked (before bath). She was on the 'throne' for a moment at that point. 2) got mad and yelled, and wrapped herself in the (plastic - ugh!) shower curtain, so "no one could see her" naked before that self-same bath. 3) got mad and yelled because I would not permit her to take a bath with her 6-yr-old brother. (I'd just cleaned the bathroom and didn't want them to splash it up with water and soap suds.) So, YOU go figure! |
