    there seems to be women's support groups, nowadays, for every
    issue imaginable.  it is uplifting to open the newspaper, scan
    through the support group listings, and realize that women are 
    able to openly find their particular support needs, regardless
    of the issue.
    
    recently I have begun going to a private, closed, committed (3 
    months) group with women like myself.  there is a pervasive 
    sense of oneness amongst us.  we share, laugh, cry, and create 
    our own, sometimes haphazard, sometimes psychadelic, sometimes
    serene, format.  none of us have had a group before, so we do 
    whatever we want, for however long we want.  this liberated 
    approach seems to work for us.  and because we have similar 
    lifestyles, or maybe just because we are lucky, there was an 
    immediate bonding.
    
    this group is a rich, fertile resource in my life.
    
    I'm interested in hearing other women's feelings about support
    groups they participate, or have participated, in.
