245.0. "NAFE or not to NAFE" by AIMHI::SCHELBERG () Thu Jul 12 1990 14:50

    I just received today at work a Notice of Acceptance to the National
    Association For Female Executives (NAFE for short).

    Has anyone ever heard of them??? I was curious since I'm not an
    Executive but they seem to accept women of all career types and have a
    magazine they publish bi-monthly. The also list several benefits
    like $35,000 credit and other essential financial and legal services at
    affordable rates, provides you with valuable tools for building your
    career, and financial backing if you need to start your own business.
    Since it does sound really interesting....I wanted to make sure it was
    on the up and up and not one of those fly by night operations (take
    your money and run) says it's only valid until August 15th.

    Caution - any negative remarks other than generalities should be
    confied to mail....I can be reached at HYSTER::SCHELBERG or
    AIMHI::SCHELBERG.

    Thanks so much!

    Thanks for your note...it will help me make up my mind. I found it
    rather interesting and thought about joining BUT when you haven't heard
    of something you always are skeptical!!!!

    I appreciate you taking the time to respond...

    I have been a member for four years...joined when I was the president
    of a small consulting firm. Found their benefits [access to group rates
    on insurance and loans; credit organization/cards; tear-sheets on
    interviewing tactics; etc] the most helpful.

    Their articles the least helpful...but not bad...just quite
    generalist.
