145.0. "Woman's Basketball Survey" by XCUSME::KOSKI (Cheap...because I'm the trea$surer) Tue May 22 1990 11:23

The Digital Woman's Basketball League (DWBL) is currently contemplating
expanding the league by dividing it geographically. I am trying to get an idea
of the level of interest we might gather in Southern New Hampshire/Northern
Mass.

Currently the League consists of about 90 members, the majority of whom live
and work in the Maynard, Marlboro area. This past season the gyms were in
Littleton and Hudson, MA. After surveying the current members it become clear
that we should consider splitting the league geographically.

Currently only about 6 players are from New Hampshire. Based on the activity of
Woman in other Southern New Hampshire sports, I believe there would be enough
interest to form at least two NH teams.

If you or your spouse would be interested in playing basketball this fall
please send me a note indicated where you live & work. The sites for playing
would tentatively be Nashua (area) and Littleton (because we still need to
schedule games with Southern teams). Littleton is about 35 minutes from the
Merrimack exit. Only Digital employees or their spouses are eligible. We will
be working with employee activities to clarify if TAGS can play this year. Out
side contractors/temps are clearly not eligible.

Responses to this note or directly to me via mail, need not be limited to
persons residing and or working in Southern New Hampshire. I'd welcome
inquires from persons in any geographic location.

Thanks for your help.
