| Liesl, what a horrendous experience! I'm glad you didn't get hurt
worse. But, surely, under different circumstances you don't feel
too old for "healthy physically perfect boys." :-) (if they're
at least over 16!)

RE: Lorna, well, I suppose I could handle a few younger gentlemen, I
am afterall, in the prime of life, but 50???? ;*)
RE: -1, Miss T was fine after running back to the barn at full
speed. I even got back on a rode for a bit till it became too
painfull. But hey, now I've got codine and feel fine (as long as I
don't make any sudden movements).

| .5> Cyclists have such great ... thighs. Purr.
Want to pump up your thigh muscles -- and your libido? Sixty-six
percent of bikers surveyed by Bicycling Magazine said cycling makes
them better lovers; 81 percent reported that their sexual vigor
increased with fitness; 84 percent revealed that they think about
lovemaking while pedaling; and a brazen 14 percent claimed to have had
sex during a rest stop.

I'll bet the answers were put-ons --
Actually, there's a very definite disease syndrome associated with
male cyclists who spend too much time riding saddles that are too
hard. It has to do with smashed motor nerves. Details on request.

| I guess I'd take those bets. The answers are not unlike those
given by people who pursue other aerobic exercises such as
running. A large majority of them indicate that their sex
lives are improved by regular aerobic workouts.
Now if n% had said they'd actually gotten it on *while* cycling,
I'd begin to wonder.

of Boston-Montreal-Boston with 400 miles back and 350 to go. The
last thing I could think of then, at that moment, was s-e-x for some
strange reason. (The first things were food and sleep.)
Fortunately that was only a temporary affliction. :-)

And I believe that 84% of cyclists think about sex while they're
riding. You've got to think about something and sex is more fun
than wondering when you're going to clean the basement!

924.18 | Stop all this giggling and whispering | OXNARD::HAYNES | Charles Haynes | Sun Jan 07 1990 02:37 | 7 |
| A (relatively) well known side effect of bicycling on males is to cause
them to take longer to orgasm. This is due to numbness in the SENSORY
nerves caused by the pressure of the saddle. It takes a considerable amount
of bicycling to cause the problem/effect, a turn around the block won't do
it.

| Well I know what I think about when walking 6 miles every morning (^'
And I run up the 2 flights of stairs to my front door at the end (^'
But, back to the rathole, I see a lot of cyclists on that walk, and I
have to tell you, they have calves and thighs like no other. There
are also very steep 9 hills and I always have at least one pass me there.
And I wonder why I keep getting faster. Haven't used my walkman in
weeks (^'

| Numerous magazines, newspapers, and radio stations have excerpted
parts of the survey article in order to add their own commentary,
titters and giggles. If anyone is interested in reading the entire
article (or just having it for reference?) send me mail and I will
send a copy of the article. I think it's 6 pages long, includes
the results of the survey and a pair of sidebar articles concerning
how cyclings affects men and women.
I must admit that, after cycling nearly a 1000 hours a year, for
several years, I have on more than one occasion thought about sex
while riding or riding while ... . I might even have done a few other
things too but I'll save them for my memoirs, if you don't mind.

must admit that sex crossed my mind a few times as I rode. It also
happens on horseback but that seems so Freudian!! Come to think of
it, sex is on my mind when I walk too, and sometimes when I read and
maybe at work and possibly at school and...;*) liesl
