To all WOMANNOTERS,
I wish you all a warm and wonderful holiday season.
Thank you to those who write here for enriching my life
over the past year. I'm looking forward to to another
year of good reading in the coming year. I hope everyone's
New Year is as fulfilling, exciting and wonderful as the
one I'm working looking forward to.

kind word, a reassuring touch, and a warm smile be yours every day
of your life, and may you give these gifts as well as receive them.
Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending. Teach love to
those who know hate, and let that love embrace you as you go into
the world...
May the teachings of those you admire become part of you, so that
you may call upon them. Remember, that those whose lives you have
touched and who have touched yours are always a part of you, even
if the encounters were less than you would have wished. It is the
content of the encounter that is more important than its form.
May you not become too concerned with material matters, but instead
place immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart.
Find time in each day to see beauty and love in the world around you.
Realize that each person has limitless abilities, but each of us is
different in our own way. What you may feel you lack in one regard
may be more than compensated for in another. What you feel you lack
in the present may become one of your strengths in the future. May
you see your future as one filled with promise and possibility.
Learn to view everything as a worthwhile experience. May you find
enough inner strength to determine your own worth by yourself, and
not be dependent on another's judgment of your accomplishments.

Charles,
Did you pick this up on the Eastcoast at Keeper's II???? That is
one of their old one's at the holiday season!!! Sometimes it takes
awhile especially if all the letters are run together.
Hope you are getting ready for the really BIG season next year with
your soon-to-be new addition to carry on Santa's tradition. Will
really change the season for you immensely!!! Start saving your
pennies now!!

| I've seen Charles' version a number of places. For the past couple of years,
I've baffled some people with a button I wear. It's a round button with
a capital L in green surrounded by a red circle with a diagonal slash through
the L. Some people go as far as to say it out loud before they realize what
it means. Most people stand there and try to figure out what the L stands for.
It seems there is some gap between the visual and aural senses in our brain.

| o fav house light decoration : a blown-up alligator outlined with
green lights chasing Santa up a palm tree
o getting to know my family again; feeling *very* grateful I grew
up in a place where love was not a scarce commodity
o sadness for friends' parents whose income/wealth is dependent
on their orange groves/strawberry crop. The mercury plunged to 22
degrees in Central Florida. FL Power couldn't handle the demand
and did cyclical 15 minute brownouts -- so much for the expensive
electric water pumps protecting the crops :-(.
o ALL the citrus in our yard (oranges, grapefruit, lemons, tangerines)
that had to be picked. Of course, my mother wouldn't let me return
home without an entire suitcase full of oranges & grapefruit(yuck)
that I'll never be able to finish [would anyone care to sample some
backyard-fresh citrus?]
o a cold and wet day running throughout Disney/EPCOT/MGM Studios
ans a very sunny and slightly warm day at Cocoa Beach!
o one very unexpected new toy - a surfboard !! But what do I do with
it in MASS ;-] ?
I hope everyone's holiday was peaceful and relaxing as mine...

not the only one to think your little MG inside your garage
looked like a snowmobile from the outside :-p!

Yeah, but Nancy, the difference between my MG and a snowmobile is that
it's *warmer* riding around on the snowmobile in winter than it is in my
car! I guess those Brits didn't have in mind -30 degrees when they
built those little soup cans!

| Well, its the 31st of December.... I for one am getting ready to go
to a party that will end with a breakfast after the sun rises....
